The uprated 270 hp engine over the old 231 hp one. But the E70 never had another 3.0 IIRC.

Actually, I believe it’s just the “Sports Package” for an X3, and not an abridged version of sDrive or xDrive like others are saying. I don’t think they ever made a 2WD X3 until recent.

It’s a corruption of the old “iS” nomenclature meaning “injected, Sport” as applied to the coupes, back when BMW made sense. Now it just means... nothing. They’re just letters that a marketing department has thrown on a piece of shit. It stands for nothing. It is a nihilist, passed out in a pool with a fifth floating nearby.
